Rain to start, but precipitation will let up over coming week in Vancouver

Next weekend might actually be nice!

Is February the most boring month when it comes to weather in Vancouver?

This week's forecast has more of what most would expect during the quiet winter month; Environment Canada is predicting the week will start off dreary with a very rainy Monday, Feb. 6. At least it'll be a very consistent day, with highs and lows of from 7 C to 4 C.

Tuesday will be slightly drier, with the rain downgraded to showers throughout the day. A high of 9 C is expected, with a low of 3 C.

A mixed bag is forecast for Wednesday, with precipitation lessening (only a 40 per cent chance of showers) and a chance for some sunshine as well. It'll also be the coolest day of the week, with a high of only 6 C and low of 2 C.

Thursday and Friday will see a return to cloudy days. A 60 per cent chance of showers means things will be damp, but not soaking. Highs will be rising into the weekend as well, reaching 9 C on Friday.

Saturday, as it stands now, might not be so bad, with a high of 8 C and a mix of sun and cloud expected. So far there's no precipitation in Environment Canada's weekend forecast, either.
