Tell us about yourself. (100 words)

I, Scott McIntosh am proudly born, raised and educated in New Westminster.  Married to Jessica with two sons.  Kent is a student of Richard McBride School and our younger son Wyatt will be one of the first students at the new Richard McBride.

I graduated from NWSS.  BCIT education includes a diploma as well as completion of the Red Seal Carpenter Trade and numerous engineering courses.  This enabled me to stay in my Sapperton neighbourhood and build my family home. 

Presently a long-term employee of the City of Vancouver, Engineering Services since 2001. 

What are the top 3 issues facing the New Westminster school board?

1) New Schools being built for present and future 2) Changing growth of New Westminster but no new land 3) Traffic safety around schools

What do you think this school board has done well? What have they done wrong?

School Board has done well would be, finally getting new schools built. What needs to improve is respectful communication and involvement of the community to plan for the future.

What is your position on the school district’s involvement in May Day?

Yes, I feel school district should be involved in May Day. It gave great memories on my days going and being part of May day.

What three people would you invite to a dinner party? (alive or dead)

My Grandfather- In 2007 do to the snow he was not able to come to Christmas Dinner. He promised to come when the snow was gone. He never was able to see the inside of my house I built as he passed away. My son Kent has asked a lot …
