Political experience (I.e.: how long have you been in office?): First time seeking public office.

Why are you running? Because I have always stood up to build the community in which I live: as a volunteer, a collaborator, a communicator, and a "rabble rouser". I have the experience, the energy, and the ideas to be a strong voice for community at the Council table. 

Top Three issues you want to work on: Transportation is a topic I have been involved with in the City for a decade, and we need someone who understands sustainable transportation principles to protect the livability of our neighborhoods. Communication between City Hall (including Council) and the residents and businesses can be improved, we need more real-time discussion of issues in plain language and opportunities for better feedback. Balancing Growth as we feel the impacts of a rapidly expanding region. We need smart growth that concentrates in our compact, walkable, multi-use and business-friendly transportation hubs, while protecting the livability and character of our residential neighbourhoods.
