Why are you running?
The recent strike/lockout of teachers has galvanized the community into action in advocating for additional resources and funding in public education. As a trustee and parent to children attending a New Westminster school who has a deep respect for public education and public service, I would like to be one of the voices of the community in this advocacy.
Top three issues you want to work on:
1. A continuation of the strengthening of our Board’s financial and governance policies and practices to restore the community’s faith and trust in the Board.
2. Completion of the Capital Project on the construction of New Westminster Secondary School.
3. Advocating for additional classroom resources and funding to address class size and composition.
