The arts council is welcoming donations to its Hilda Cliffe Scholarship Program, which supports students furthering their studies in the arts.

The fund helps cover two awards each year: one, through a partnership with the Douglas College Foundation, to a college student in the performing arts; the other to a New Westminster Secondary School student to further their training or career in the arts.

“Finances should never prevent a student from attending an art program or pursuing a career in the arts,” said a write-up from the arts council. “Right now, you can make sure that students in our community succeed.”
