Royal City to host 2020 B.C. club curling championships

Curl B.C. unveiled its hosts for a busy season of 2020 championships, and the Royal City Curling Club was one of nine communities selected. The local curling club will host next year’s B.C. Club Challenge, March 26 to 29.

Curl B.C. unveiled its hosts for a busy season of 2020 championships, and the Royal City Curling Club was one of nine communities selected.
The local curling club will host next year’s B.C. Club Challenge, March 26 to 29.
The championship will see clubs from all over the province, who have survived zone playdowns, meet in a four-day tournament.
This year’s competition was hosted by Abbotsford, with the Royal City’s Sutton rink collecting a 6-5 win over Delta’s Klitch team in the final.
On the women’s side, the Konyer rink from Nanaimo captured the women’s title.
This year’s B.C. men’s and Scotties B.C. women’s championship will be held in Cranbrook, Jan. 28 to Feb. 2, while the B.C. junior championships go Dec. 28 to Jan. 2 in Victoria.
