Police should not be allowed to investigate police.

Public complaints must have “truly” independent civilian oversight that has the power to discipline and dismiss any police officer at any level.

The police should be accountable to the people and not themselves.

This will help re-build confidence and trust in the police again.

We all seen what happened with the impeachment hearings when Republicans investigated a Republican president in Donald Trump. The system was a total failure.

I am sure police officers would be less likely to abuse their power and be more likely to serve and protect if the people had the power to directly file complaints and have an officer held accountable for his or her actions.

The police have far too much power in our society and too much power can be dangerous.

Even one bad cop is too many considering the amount of power they wield.
