Pro indoor and outdoor lacrosse star Kevin Crowley will be in New Westminster to hold a Fusion Lacrosse camp at Queen's Park July 20 to 23.

Kevin Crowley is bringing home his Fusion Lacrosse camp to New Westminster.

Crowley now calls Philadelphia home, but this coming week, kids aged eight to 16 can get hone their skills with the homegrown box and field lacrosse star.

The all-day camp will run from Monday, July 20 to Thursday, July 23 at Queen’s Park East turf field, beginning at 9 a.m. and finishing at 3 p.m.

Crowley will be joined by current MLL defenceman Steven Holmes and goalie from the 2014 Scottish national team Dean Stewart at the New Westminster camp.

Crowley founded Fusion Lacrosse – a company that wants to bring the best of West Coast indoor skills and the outdoor expertise back east in the field game together under one umbrella.

“It opened my eyes how difficult (lacrosse) is on the East Coast,” said Crowley, who played NCAA Division I field lacrosse at Stony Brook University in New York with friend and current Salmonbellie assistant captain Jordan McBride before turning pro in both the indoor and outdoor game.

All participants receive a pinny and a free Under Armour lacrosse stick.
