Atoms roll in club colours battle

It was a fun free-for-all at Mercer Stadium on Saturday, when the Royal City atom Hyacks' Orange and Black flag football teams crossed paths.

It was a fun free-for-all at Mercer Stadium on Saturday, when the Royal City atom Hyacks' Orange and Black flag football teams crossed paths.

Team Black prevailed 32-8, getting touchdowns from Ben MacKinnon and brothers Alexander and Demetri Biniaris.

In junior bantam action, Royal City wrapped up its regular season with a loss to Westside. Turning in solid efforts were defenders Jack Fralic, who broke up a couple of big pass plays, and Arturo Gonzales, who recovered a fumble. Jaxson Domville had a good day on both sides of the ball.

In tyke play, the Hyacks put up a strong effort before falling 13-7 to Langley. Payton Vahra covered the distance of the field in the team's lone major.
