Veterinarian deserves recognition

Dear Editor: People rarely write the positive on outstanding veterinary care. We feel strongly justified to recommend Alpine Animal Hospital.

Dear Editor:

People rarely write the positive on outstanding veterinary care. We feel strongly justified to recommend Alpine Animal Hospital.

The medical team has provided over and above with top-notch, compassionate care for over 13 years for our dog.

Deanne (Dr. Singh's longtime assistant) always bends down to my dog's level, greeting my dog before greeting me at appointments.

Recently my dog became very sick on a Sunday. Dr. Singh was busy with emergency surgery for an injured cat that someone left at his door.

I asked Deanne, "Who will pay for the treatment?"

Her reply was, "Dr. Singh will. He loves animals more than people."

The cats you see living freely in his reception area have been found injured, or sick, neglected and malnourished and sadly tossed out into the world to fend for themselves or blatantly left behind after moving.

Dr. Singh and his medical team make animal health and welfare their top priority, in rapid diagnosis to relieve animal suffering by treatment, along with a comfortable resting area. Then they guide us in a "prevention plan" to avoid further reoccurrences.

Often after hours, Dr. Singh is in emergency surgery, donating his time to homeless animals in desperate need of medical attention. These are things that the public never hears about.

Alpine never expects any recognition, nor would ever brag about all the donated hours they devote behind the scenes with effort to save lives of our four-legged friends that can't speak for themselves.

Even when we were on a road trip with our dog, he became sick, we pulled into a vet's office (could have broken our wallet) and had them call Dr.

Singh. He prescribed over the phone and saved us hundreds of dollars.

Like he says, "Zack is my patient." Then he called our cellphone twice over the following days to check up on how Zack was doing. Wow, now that is truly going above and beyond compassionate care, and at no cost to us for his prescribing long distance.

Our recent episode with our aging dog is in full recovery, great thanks to Dr. Singh. He also tenderly reminded us that our loved pet is aging gracefully, and anytime we need to talk, he will be supportive and available for us, and he meant it (I guess you had to be there to see it in his eyes).

Dr. Singh and his medical team truly deserve the highest recognition.

We say the best veterinary care has been firmly rooted in our city for over 21 years strong. Alpine Animal Hospital is located at 348 Sixth St.
