Re: Parent criticizes school trustee's expenses, The Record, Jan. 9.

I totally agree with Patrick O'Connor's criticism of Mr. Michael Ewen's expense.

While the New West school district had a $2.8 million deficit from last year and faces another projecting deficit of $2.2 million, Mr. Michael Ewen should not be reimbursed for an expensive trip to Victoria when the board of education did not direct him to meet with (New Westminster MLA Dawn) Black there.

If Mr. Michael Ewen really wants to talk to Black, he could phone, email or even skype with Black face-to-face.
