Dear Editor: Well folks, it is a done deal and who can tell me that they knew this multi-million dollar Hydro "deal" was even in the works? Here is my message to every single politician, be they local, provincial or federal - enough of this crap! Should you, our elected leaders, in your so-called wisdom think these are great major decisions, then before you sign off on them, you better start telling us first exactly what you overpaid idiots are about to agree to.
If you are that confident of this being the best way to deal with millions of our hard earned dollars, then come to local town meetings and explain it first. You might just find out that the majority of us do not agree! You were not elected to write blank cheques.
As the movie line in Network went, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this any more."
Oh, and by the way, you are going to find that, yes, we will attend these meetings and your free ride of announcing bad news on Fridays in the summer is over.
We should set limits to any politician as to when they have to come back to us for approval when the stakes get this high.
