Regarding your editorial on road-racing: I know a young man who tried out his old BMW at night alone and was caught at double the speed limit.
He got a ticket for $600. On appeal, the judge reduced it to $400. He had no money, being an apprentice - and no "rich" parents.
I wonder about this $196 fine, when a simple ticket costs $175 nowadays, could somebody explain that to me?
I find it laughable, justice?
