Salaries bad for taxpayers

Dear Editor: Re: Are city managers worth their weight in gold?, Editorial, The Record, June 12. Your editorial states, "managers" salaries are pegged (at least partly) a good percentage higher than the employees below the manager.

Your editorial states, "managers" salaries are pegged (at least partly) a good percentage higher than the employees below the manager." And just who, exactly is doing the negotiating on those employees' salaries? Why, those very same managers that must make more! What an incredibly ridiculous, insidious relationship. Everybody wins except the poor, hapless bottomless pit called the taxpayer.
