Thanks to New West drivers and police
I want to say thanks to New Westminster drivers. You are very kind and patient. Another big thanks to the police officer who pulled me over this morning.
You guys are so friendly and bring me a warm Saturday instead of fears. Thank you!

Leave Queen's Park alone — but applause for new mental health facility
Please leave the Queen's Park neighbourhood as it is. This neighbourhood is unique and should be left so for the generations ahead.
Create infill houses and suites in every other area of New West to provide more housing.
I applaud the mental health/addictions/homeless facility on Sixth.

Sixth Street bike lane 'absolutely useless'
The new bike lane on Sixth Street, near the new high school, is absolutely useless, slowing down traffic flow.
We drive by every day and see no bikers using this lane; the kids use the bus or walk to school. If people want to bike, use the Seventh Avenue biking lane. It's much safer to use than busy Sixth Street.
Please, please, please, take out all those closures and jut-outs on Sixth Street. We don't need them here in New West.

Want to address pedestrian safety? Start uptown
Maybe a few people could drive around uptown for half a day between Sixth Avenue and Sixth Street, Eighth Avenue and Sixth Street, Eighth Street and Sixth Avenue, Fourth Avenue and Sixth Street — check out red light runners and pedestrians jaywalking or crossing against red lights on their cellphones. They need huge fines. They're putting other people at risk.
