I would like to offer a great big thanks and Merry Christmas to all the staff at Royal Columbian Hospital for taking great care of me during my recent stay.
Even though I faced a serious medical condition, the last place I wanted to go was a hospital emergency room considering COVID, the flu, RSV and stories of tired, overwhelmed staff. But when I showed up, I was quickly checked-in and within three hours I had several tests and seen a doctor who confirmed my diagnosis and began a treatment regime.
Every member of the RCH staff who helped me, from doctors and nurses to imaging and blood work technicians, was unfailingly kind, caring and efficient. To have that level of attention and care in the vast moving machinery that is a modern hospital is truly a tribute to the amazing staff.
We often hear hospital horror stories, but mine isn’t one of them and I wanted to let the wonderful people at RCH know that.
