Dear Editor: Re: Memories of Woodward's, The

Record, Aug. 23.

I read with interest your story in the Aug. 23 edition of your newspaper regarding memories of Woodward's stores. I too went to Woodward's to shop when I lived in Calgary.

I remember what Tony Antonias' memories were, especially his comments on Woodward's service.

For example, a department store offering services to the customer that weren't there in the past such as one-stop shopping for groceries, household items and dining.

And most important, customers could have their groceries delivered to their car.

Now, would that be something that could be done again? Woodward's was a service-oriented store.

It was a memorable reading experience.
