Dear Editor
How sad that unions and developers have bought lock stock and barrel our city council, as reported by the media. For you and I, it means higher taxes to give unions gold-plated wages, and developers can build highrises that take away our view of the water, sunsetting scenes, and our privacy in our own backyards.
We can add to this the approximately $2 million to be spent at the Anvil Centre, along with a $100,000 dishwasher; it seems all this was kept secret in our humble opinion before the election. Now we will pay the price. Where has the honesty and integrity gone in our political scene?
