More hospital concerns

Re: Outbreak closes two RCH wards, April 27, The Record.

Royal Columbian Hospital seems to be taking some precautions against the C. difficile bacteria by isolating units, "super cleaning" and making the public aware of this contagion.

But what are RCH and Fraser Health doing about hospital staff?

Staff are frequently seen along East Columbia Street in various businesses, and even eateries, wearing "booties" over their shoes, or open-back patient gowns, and sometimes with stethoscopes displayed around their necks.

It seems obvious that bacteria or other viruses can easily be transmitted by staff, to other outside areas or be brought in to the hospital and patients.
