Dear Editor:

Where to begin is difficult with so many negatives!

When I saw these huge signs going up at the bridges, the first thing I thought was: what are they thinking?

We are being told not to use our cell phone while driving but looking at a huge sign at the busiest end of the Pattullo Bridge is OK! On top of it, the city signed a 20-year contract!

Dimming the lights is not going to work. Does the advertiser want us to read the sign, yes or no?

My next beef: many of the Royal Columbian Hospital doctors are begging for $10 million to hire more doctors. The Minister of Health, who is also a doctor, says we are broke and there is no money left.

The next item is the state of our roads, and not just a couple of them.

I have a serious spinal problem and to drive many of our roads in New West is pure hell.

Our water and sewer bill is outrageous and highrises are going up all over the place.

All these people pay taxes. Where does all the money go?

Finally, the city better stop allowing heavy trucks on the Pattullo Bridge. The bridge needs a solid cement barrier in the centre, it will leave enough room for one lane either way. That will slow it down.
