I am addressing this letter to all parents in New West who have children and grandchildren in the New West school system.
Why do you care so little about who has the say in your children’s education? Were you really so busy that you didn’t have time to go and vote?
If you were away you could have voted in the advance polls. When I read that only 1,800 voted in this election I was appalled. I read in articles how upset people are about the schools in New West, but where are you on election day? True that this will go to full election in 2018, but there is still time in this term for a lot of work to be done.
As a person who has never missed a vote I want to thank all of those who took the time to vote and I hope that those of you who didn’t vote will think hard about going out to vote in the next election. Congratulations to the winner of this election.
