Dear Editor:
Although it has been a month since you ran the follow-up story of our son William’s fundraiser for BCCHF Wigs for Kids (Aug. 10, follow-up Sept. 14), we would like to take a moment to thank the community and the Record for spreading the word about this very worthy cause.
A very special thanks to the Rotary Club of New Westminster for their incredible support.
How lucky we are to have this organization active here in our community, quietly going about the business of making a positive difference in New Westminster and overseas? “Service above self” is a motto we are proud to say our children have learned through the Rotary Club’s influence in our lives.
With the combined support of friends, family, our community and the Rotarians, William’s BCCHF Wigs For Kids page has raised $5,565 to date. Our thanks to one and all.
