Letters: Low-income folks hit hard by rising grocery prices

Where is the help from the B.C. government, this writer asks.

The price of groceries is hitting hard for low-income folks and those living in poverty, this New Westminster letter writer says.

Editor:

Could you ask Mr. Eby, where is the financial help for low-income people and people in poverty?

We have not heard much lately. I was wondering if we exist.

Walmart, Save-On-Foods and Safeway are gouging the hell out of people. Maybe the media itself should go check out prices a few times a week, then alternate your days to check prices. "Get a deal" — 10 or 20 cents off an item? Joke. Then some other groceries are 25 cents to as much as $2 or $3 more. Seriously.
