Dear Editor:
The leaves are falling and many people in New Westminster seem to be under the impression that raking their leaves into the gutter is OK. It probably was 30 years ago, but no more.
Please read the drainage information section of your curbside collection guide. Leaves left in the street clog drainage grates, just as snow and ice do. The city wants you to put them in your environmental bin or special bags. Thanks!
