I write in regard to the complaints from struggling business owners to city council about the recently installed bike lanes on Sixth Street and the comment from one city council member who replied that "the city can't just install and rip our bike lanes willy nilly." I would like to know how many of our much-needed businesses in uptown will have to fail before council accepts what a bad idea this project was to begin with?
And the right turn from Hamilton onto Sixth Street can now be a bit of a challenge, having to go around the new barrier, with all the vehicles parked in the middle of the road!
