Letter: Who gives a damn about seniors? No one in power, apparently

A 6.5 per cent raise is nice for city council — but not so nice for seniors facing skyrocketing costs, this writer says.

City council collects a 6.5 per cent raise? That's incredible. No regards to property taxes, electric bill and tax increases. Who gives a damn?

Put everybody on the street, then you collect nothing from homeless people. It's already happening. We can't afford rent increases, inflation. Government does not care to discuss or put an end to this — with high-priced food, etc. My three-month OAS pension increase was $8.

Thank you, city hall.
