No, no, no. Drivers “obeying the law” must not be stopped using the excuse that the police want to give them a reward. 

They can simply record the licence plate number and mail out the gift card. People have busy schedules and being stopped by a police officer is not only disruptive, but it is intrusive and to some drivers intimidating. But thanks for their general great work in other areas keeping New Westminster a safe city to live in.
