Letter: Someone needs to fix the New West mess on 10th Avenue

The intersection of 10th Avenue and 6th Street is bad precisely because drivers do not pay attention to – or flat-out ignore – the traffic sign that says you CAN’T TURN LEFT. Chris Campbell photo

I totally agree with Betty Gray's suggestion to improve 10th Avenue and turn it into a bypass road.

The speed bumps and the bad road conditions on 4th Avenue don't deter commuters from using them and make it for "bumpy" rides for New Westminster residents.

Using Tenth Avenue makes sense - it lines up with Marine Way and Byrne Road, and bypasses the majority of the residential areas of New Westminster.

All of the well-written words in Betty Gray's letter are well-thought out.

Now we just need someone (and lots of someones) to pay attention to it.
