A train rolls past the Brewery District in Sapperton. Train whistles are disrupting residents' quality of life, this writer says.

Editor:

The train whistling makes us so annoyed and disheartened all day, especially in the middle of the night. I believe safety (measures) to prevent accidents were installed at all crossings and junctions.

I have my two-year-old grandson visiting my home at Victoria Hill near to Queen's Park. My son's family is visiting us to celebrate my moving. Unfortunately, the whistling makes my kid wake up so many times. It is kind of a disaster.

We couldn't believe these annoying sounds are routine in Canada. We are so disappointed in the city's passive action regarding this issue. This is a matter of quality of life in city residences.
