Letter: New West bike lane interferes with bus stops

What do you do if you can't walk the extra block?

The uptown bike lane along Sixth Street is hurting those who can't walk far enough for alternative bus stops, says this letter writer.

Re: bike lane at Seventh  Avenue and Sixth Street, New West

Bike lanes are fine, but not at bus stops.

The bus stops at Seventh Avenue and Sixth Street suggest you get off at Sixth and Sixth or Sixth Street and Eighth Avenue.

This is fine if you can walk that far. I now have to take a taxi to get to 737 Sixth St., but what do the people do who can't afford the taxi for the stores or the church at Seventh Avenue and Sixth Street?
