Responding to the letter in June 25 edition of the Record, if you don't like city noise, then don't live in the city.
I've been working during the current pandemic and it's very peaceful coming home to a (reasonably) quiet neighbourhood with normal noise levels; it shows a sense of normalcy.
As for hearing sirens, it makes me grateful to live in a country like Canada where these services are available.
I live a few blocks from downtown and I do hear the SkyTrain and I'm also on a bus route.
Again, gratitude.
