Can we consider a positive side of fireworks at Halloween?
For some families this is a long-time tradition; it was definitely part of my childhood.
One of our neighbours always had fireworks, hot dogs, and hot chocolate for all us kids. And you know what this did? It kept us from roaming the streets and partaking in some of the common Halloween pranks that may have included toilet papering houses, smashing pumpkins, and egging houses. Traditions like this build family and neighbourhood bonds, provide great memories, and ensure our kids are where we are and enjoying some fireworks put on by responsible adults.
A few hours a year can actually provide a lot of good in the long run.
