Letter: Columbia Square plan looks beautiful — but hold up a minute

Let’s talk about schools, daycares and health care first.

Editor:

In theory, this Columbia Square plaza plan sounds and looks beautiful.

Urban forest? More pedestrian walks? Yes, please!

But lots of issues should be addressed by the city beforehand:

  1. Daycares — everybody is waiting for spots for months.
  2. Schools — terrible situation, all of them are overfilled.
  3. Walk-in clinics/hospitals/family doctors … It’s already a disaster, what will happen then?
  4. Other infrastructure like playgrounds (terrible at the moment) and grocery stores.
