Letter: B.C. disdain for private health care is 'sheer madness'

Why will the government allow patients to access private care in the U.S. but not in Canada?

Is it just me, or does it seem weird to anyone else that our provincial NDP government, with the approval of our federal Liberal government, has no qualms about Canadian taxpayers paying for people to get cancer treatment in the U.S.A. at private pay for treatment clinics and hospitals, yet they won’t allow private pay for care clinics and hospitals here in Canada, which would save Canadian taxpayers millions, if not billions of dollars per year, not to mention eliminating the need for sick people to have to travel so far from home for treatment.

In my opinion, this Liberal/Socialist ideological disdain for private clinics here in Canada at all costs is sheer madness!
