Law is law, and we all have to obey it

Dear Editor:

Re: Beware of parking tickets, The Record, Aug. 3.

I am a resident of New Westminster and have been living here for a number of years now, and a very law-abiding citizen to my adoptive country.

This letter to the editor from Judy Dixon that you printed in the paper is very disgraceful, you should not have printed it in the first place.

She is not a cop, paramedic and/or firefighter. She is just an ordinary citizen, helping a person in need. It is not a privilege for her to park anywhere/any way that suited her because she is helping someone. By the way, it was not an emergency situation.

I was disgusted with her for even calling out to the officer to dispute and reasoned out her mistake. I was disgusted with you as an editor for even printing it for everyone to read her stupidity.

Law is law, and it applies to every single one of us.
