Dear Editor:
What about this idea to lighten the traffic load on both the Pattullo Bridge and New Westminster streets? Implement the "one lane in each direction" over the Pattullo on a 24/7 basis, and not just for the overnight period, as is the current situation.
This will bring relief to the traffic situation in New West, reduce major wear and tear on the Pattullo (the bridge is crumbling in places), increase the safety aspect of the bridge, and put the trucks back on Highway 1 and the Port Mann where they belong.
