Dear Editor:
I am writing about a concern I have regarding parking meters in the 600 block of 12th Street in New Westminster.
These meters have a sticker on them stating that they will not accept 2012 coins. This is not true as the meters do accept the 2012 coins, but just do not credit any time for them.
This to me is a fraud as long as the meters accept the coins, then why don't they credit time?
I have done my best to make sure that I have not inserted 2012 coins, but I have done so by mistake and lost money doing so.
I shop frequently on this street and am tired of being ripped off by this situation.
I have reported this matter to New Westminster City Hall, and I hope they do respond to my concern and correct the matter.
