Re: City over budget on riverfront pier park, The Record, July 13.
I want to congratulate the New Westminster city staff on the new Pier Park. It is a grand addition to our city.
All of us should take note that the city staff completed a $26-million government project with only a three per cent overrun. This is probably the lowest overrun on any federal, provincial or municipal project in our country in the last 20 years!
