École Fraser River Middle School seems to be the forerunner for the new middle school name.
The board met Tuesday, and trustees endorsed the name, which will go to the board for a final vote on Tuesday, March. 11.
The district is kicking around two name options. The other name is École Westside Middle School. Board of education chair Jonina Campbell said public support for the two names was split down the middle.
The board is slated to talk about the $17.6-million middle school project at the next meeting.
