There is something almost addictive about reading other people's favourite Christmas memories.
Perhaps it's being comforted by the discovery that what we value is valued by other members of our community. That we share a love of family, kindness and, of course, the joy of giving.
Perhaps it's simply enjoying someone else's happiness - a vicarious joy that makes the cold, dark days of winter just a little warmer and a little brighter.
But, for whatever reasons, we love reading about people's Christmas memories, and we are grateful that they share those memories with us so that we can share them with our readers. (See story on page 3).
