Hilda Bechler needs to learn a few things about the trees she's trying to protect.

Those cottonwood trees she adores are the weeds of the tree family. Frankly, I believe most, if not all, cottonwoods should be cut down in city parks and other locations where they obstruct view and the like.

These trees are absolutely dangerous when they get to maturity, due to their inherent light, weak limbs. Their limbs can break and fall at any given time without warning, endangering persons who may be below them. Leave up any other tree, but get rid of these cotton-blowing monsters!
