Dear Editor:
I recently took a friend to the Quay for a stroll on the boardwalk.
I was very dismayed at the condition of the railings. They look like they haven't seen a pressure washer or paint in years. This used to be one of my very favourite places in our city, but I was embarrassed to show this formerly beautiful walkway to a newcomer. What's going on? Why the lack of maintenance? I realize that the casino sucked the life out of the Quay marketplace, but the boardwalk is still there and in desperate need of upkeep!
Hey, city council, anybody listening?
