New West police searching for missing woman Andrea Gus

The 23-year-old was last seen on June 7 in the New Westminster area, but may have been seen in the Whalley area on Sunday

The New Westminster Police Department is asking for the public to help in a search for 23-year-old Andrea Gus.

Gus was last seen June 7 in the New West area, but may have also been seen in the Whalley area in Surrey on June 9. She has also been known to frequent the Downtown Eastside area in Vancouver.

Gus is described as an Indigenous woman, five feet eight inches, with a slim build, brown hair usually in a ponytail and a tattoo on her shoulder of a music clef.

"Andrea's family are concerned and are asking for assistance to locate her. Our investigators have checked in areas where she is known to spend time, however her current whereabouts is unknown," Sgt. Jeff Scott said.

"We are asking for the assistance of the public to help us locate Andrea to ensure her well-being."
