New Westminster Police Department are looking for a suspect in a case of indecent exposure.

Police were called on Monday at around 1:45 p.m. to the 400 block of 10th Street for a report of a man committing an indecent act.

A woman reported that an unknown male exposed his genitals to her on the street. The woman was walking on 10th Street and passed the male who exposed his genitals, before continuing north on 10th Street, police said.

She described the male as a 25 to 35 years old, with a slim build, standing approximately 5’6” to 5’9”, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and great sweat pants.

“Because this happened near Moody Park, the caller was more concerned for children playing at the park,” stated Sgt. Jeff Scott. “While these types of situations are not overly common, they are certainly alarming for anyone to witness.”

Anyone with information is asked to call New Westminster Police Department at 604-525-5411.
