New Westminster's Kevin Crowley was named to the National Lacrosse League all-rookie team on Wednesday.
The first-year Philadelphia Wings forward was named along with rookie of the year Adam Jones from Colorado and Jordan MacIntosh and Evan Kirk of Minnesota and Johnny Powless and Stephen Keogh from the eastern champion Rochester Knighthawks.
Crowley, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NLL entry draft, led all rookies with 36 goals and finished second to Jones in scoring with 71 total points. Crowley's goal tally was tied for fourth-best in the league
The New Westminster righthander also collected 81 loose balls and was named a rookie of the week on three separate occasions during the regular season.
Crowley also helped the Wings make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
Jones, the third overall pick of the Mammoth in last year's draft, led all first-year players with 76 points, including 47 assists. His 29 goals broke the Colorado club's franchise single-season rookie record set by Brian Langtry in 2003.
The NLL Champions Cup final between Edmonton and Rochester will be played Saturday.
