Burnaby North and Burnaby South both won their high school district semifinals to move on to the league championship today (Wednesday) at Cariboo Hill Oval.
North upset regular season champion Burnaby Central 2-0 on a pair of sweet strikes by forward Tyron Stojanov. Gianluca Cameron was busy in the North nets en route to posting the playoff shutout.
In the other semifinal, Tyler Leonard took a crossing pass from Deni Zulic in the second period of overtime to give South a 1-0 win over Cariboo Hill.
