Total Martial Arts won the Grand Championship Cup at the recent Western Canadian Martial Arts championships at BCIT.
Harpal Chandi won a gold medal and was later named the winner of the William Cartwright Mem orial Cup as the best overall black belt competitor. Liam Law also won gold in men's black belt.
Michael Kostritsyn, a tournament veteran at 15, won the junior black belt fighting division.
Two new TMA junior martial artists also came away with medals. Zaafir Ali won gold in his first major competiton, while Daniel Zimmerman placed runner-up.
Amber Lloyd picked up a silver medal in the female black belt division, while Viktoriya Fedorchuk earned a bronze in the under black belt category.
"It's very rewarding for a coach and instructor when every member of your team does so well," said Total Martial Arts sensie Bill Hunter.
