Junior national champion Tumai Baptiste led Master's Taekwondo at the B.C. Master's Cup at Capilano University last Saturday.
Baptiste, a 15-year-old Moscrop Secondary student, won the gold medal in the featherweight A division at the competition.
First time A division competitor, Rowena Lau, a 13-year-old Byrne Creek student, took gold in sparring in the finweight class.
Jorge Gomez, 14, also won a bronze in A sparring.
The junior national championships will be held in Vancouver from Jan. 12 to 15.
Gary Jiang also won gold in the featherweight division, while 35-year-old Rickie Sugars won a sparring gold.
Other medallists included: Aaron Gomez, 11, winning a gold in sparring and Hanz Cruz, 14, taking silver in sparring and poomse or forms.
In the nine-year-old class, Raymond Baptiste won gold in sparring, while Andrei Georgescu and Ryan Abel took bronze.
