The B.C. Seniors Games kicks off on Wednesday in Burnaby and parts of New Westminster.
The Royal City Curling Club is the venue for ice curling, which will run for the life of the Games from Tuesday, Aug. 21 through to Saturday.
The opening ceremonies will take place at Swangard Stadium on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The closing ceremony will be held at the Michael J. Fox Theatre on Aug. 25, beginning at 1: 30 p.m.
As well as the sporting component, a special participant event will take place at noon Thursday at the Burnaby Village Museum between 6 and 9 p.m.
There will also be a dinner and dance at the Bill Copeland centre on Friday. Dinner begins at 5 p.m., with the music starting up at 7 and running until 11 p.m. A volunteer appreciation event will be held at Burnaby Lake Arena on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m.
