Zion Corales Nelson has been lighting it up down south.
The Grade 9 St. Thomas More student recently won the women's 400 metres against NCAA athletes in a time of 55.7 at the recent University of Oregon Twilight meet. She was also a runner-up in the 200m with a 24.5 clocking.
Corales Nelson also was first in the 100m at the Oregon Relays junior event and second in the senior 200m.
